About me

About me

My full name is Parisa Sotoodegan. I was born in Shiraz, Iran on December 2nd, 1984.

After finishing my high school, I continued my studying in English language and literature at Shiraz University, Iran. After graduating in 2006, I have started working as an English teacher, and then tourism inbound adviser and operator is added to it. This website is designed mainly for the purpose of teaching others the rich culture and tourism industry of Iran. Let’s talk about Iran, my country, that leads me to design this website.

Iran Geography and Climate

Iran which is located in middle-east is the eighteenth largest country in the world. Its borders are Azerbaijan and Armenia to the north-west; the Caspian Sea to the north; Turkmenistan to the north-east; Pakistan and Afghanistan to the east; Turkey and Iraq to the west and finally the waters of the Persian Gulf to the south. Iran’s area is 1,648,000, km2.
Iran’s climate ranges from arid or semiarid, to subtropical along the Caspian coasts and the northern forests. On the northern edge of the country temperatures rarely fall below freezing and the area remains humid for the rest of the year.

Iran Government and politics

The political system of the Islamic Republic is based on the 1979 Constitutions. The system comprises several intricately connected governing bodies. The supreme Leader of Iran is responsible for delineation and supervision of the general politics of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Economy

Iran’s economy is a mixture of central planning, state ownership of oil and the other large enterprises, village agriculture, and small-scale private trading ventures.

Iran Language and literature

The official language of Iran is Persian. The use of regional and tribal languages in the press and mass media, as well as for teaching of their literature in schools is allowed in addition to Persia.

Iran Tourism

Close to 1.8% of the national employment is generated in the tourism sector which is slated to increase to 10% in the next five years. Statistics show that about 1,659,000 foreign tourists visited Iran in 2004. Iran currently ranks 89th in tourist income, but is rated among the most touristic countries in the world.
